What you need
- A Web3 wallet (MetaMask, Rabby, Coinbase Wallet, Rainbow, OKX, Trust, or any WalletConnect-compatible wallet).
- Some ETH on Base Mainnet for gas during the this phase.
- A few minutes.
1. Connect your wallet
Open gotchipus.com and click Connect Wallet in the taskbar. The app expects Base Mainnet — most modern wallets already include the network. If yours does not:2. Mint a Beacon
Open the Mint window from the desktop. A Beacon is the lighthouse-ember NFT that survivors of fallen Pharos carried to Base. It is the dormant vessel — your Gotchipus before it is summoned. Select a quantity, click Mint, confirm the transaction. You now own a Beacon.3. Summon your Gotchipus
From the Terminal or the desktop’s Beacon panel, choose a Beacon and start the summon ritual. You will provide:
Confirm. The Beacon awakens. Faction, rarity, and DNA settle in this
moment and never re-roll.
4. Walk into Lighthaven
Open Lighthaven from the desktop. This is where Beacon World actually starts. Lighthaven is the central town. Residents live there — shopkeepers, brokers, trainers, storytellers. Each one holds their own Token-Bound Account and their own opinion of you. Talking to them is interacting with the chain. Saying “done” to a quoted swap is the swap. You will not exhaust the conversation tree. There is no tree.5. Care, equip, return
The day-to-day:- Pet your Gotchipus to restore states and earn XP. Once-a-day on a 24h cooldown.
- Equip wearables that match your faction for a 20% stat multiplier. Full sets unlock additional bonuses.
- Return to Lighthaven. Rapport with residents accrues over consistent presence, not single-session spamming.
