The $GOTCHI token is not yet deployed. This page describes the planned tokenomics and will be updated when the token launches.
Design Philosophy
$GOTCHI will only launch when genuine, sustainable gameplay demand exists. We are not launching a token to generate hype — we are building a game that will eventually need its own economy.
The token will launch when:
- Core gameplay loops are mature and engaging
- A meaningful player base exists
- Real economic activity (trading, equipping, territory) demands a native unit of account

Economic Design
The planned economic model emphasizes sustainability:
- Controlled emission — token supply grows predictably, not explosively
- Deflationary mechanisms — meaningful token sinks ensure demand pressure
- Staking incentives — long-term commitment is rewarded
- Agent economy integration — Gotchipus TBAs can hold and spend $GOTCHI, creating agent-driven economic activity
Why Wait?
Many Web3 projects launch tokens first and build games second. We’re doing the opposite because:
- Tokens without gameplay are speculation, not economy. We want $GOTCHI to have real utility from day one.
- Early token launches distort incentives. Players should be drawn by the game, not the token price.
- The agent economy needs to mature. When 20,000 Gotchipus are actively trading and building, a native token becomes a natural necessity — not an artificial addition.
When $GOTCHI launches, it will be the currency of an already-thriving civilization, not the spark that tries to create one.
